Solution slide in a pitch deck: purpose, rubric and three fixes

Last verified: October 20, 2026

The solution slide of a pitch deck says in plain words what the product does for the customer named on the problem slide. It should answer the problem directly, show that the product exists and state the one thing that makes it different, before any detail about technology or features.

What this slide is for

The solution slide is where an investor checks that your answer fits the problem. It is the shortest path from pain to product, with the detail left for the product slide.

What the rubric looks for

The getfund rubric v1 does not score slides one by one. It scores dimensions across the whole deck, and this slide supplies evidence for the ones below.

  • Solution and product evidence, getfund rubric v1, score 3: The product is shown (screenshot, photo, demo or step-by-step workflow) and tied to the stated problem
  • Solution and product evidence, getfund rubric v1, score 5: As 4, plus a defensible advantage (patent, proprietary data, network effect, exclusive distribution) backed by evidence

Three fixes

  1. Open with what the customer can now do that they could not before, in one sentence.
  2. Tie each point back to a part of the problem slide so the link is visible.
  3. Say whether the product is live, in a pilot or a prototype, and show one real screen if it exists.

A template sentence

Fill the brackets with your own confirmed facts. Do not copy the sentence as written, and do not invent a figure to fill a gap.

[Customer group] can now [outcome] in [time or steps] without [the old way].

The check that applies

getfund rubric v1, Required sections (4 points): Problem, solution, market, business model, traction, team and ask, each found by keyword in English or Turkish: points in proportion to the sections found

The required-sections check looks for solution, product or how it works (or their Turkish equivalents), so one of those words has to appear.

Frequently asked questions

How is the solution slide different from the product slide?
The solution slide gives the outcome in a sentence. The product slide shows the screens, the workflow and the evidence that it is in use.
Can I describe the technology here?
Keep it to one line. The rubric asks what the product does and how it is shown; model names and stack details do not raise the score.
What if the product is not built yet?
Say so plainly and show the prototype or the workflow. The rubric gives credit for describing what the product does, and more once it is shown.
