The rubric, in full

Eight dimensions, each scored 0 to 5 against written anchors. Your stage sets how many of the 80 judged points each dimension carries. Another 20 points come from the deterministic checks below.

Problem clarityAs 4, and the deck shows why the current alternatives fail this customer.A specific customer and pain, with one concrete example, quote or number.Pre-seed: 14Seed: 10Series A: 6
Solution and product evidenceAs 4, plus a defensible advantage (patent, proprietary data, network effect, exclusive distribution) backed by evidence. The product is shown (screenshot, photo, demo or step-by-step workflow) and tied to the stated problem.Pre-seed: 10Seed: 10Series A: 8
Market and why nowAs 4, with the why-now backed by data and a path from the first segment to a larger market.A size for the target segment (sourced or bottom-up) and a stated why-now.Pre-seed: 10Seed: 10Series A: 10
Business modelAs 4, with measured (not projected) unit economics and a stated path to scale.Price and who pays, plus at least one unit-economics figure (gross margin, CAC, LTV, payback, revenue per customer).Pre-seed: 6Seed: 13Series A: 13
Traction and evidence qualitySustained growth in revenue or retention with cohort or unit detail and a verifiable source.Dated figures of real usage or revenue, or named paying customers or pilots.Pre-seed: 6Seed: 18Series A: 22
TeamAs 4, with a track record that directly de-risks this plan (built and scaled a similar product or company).Relevant experience (domain, technical or commercial: employer, years, degree) stated for each founder.Pre-seed: 18Seed: 9Series A: 8

Deterministic checks (20 points)

  • Page count

10 to 20 pages for a deck sent to be read (10 to 14 to present live): full points inside 10-20, none outside.

    4 points

  • Words per slide

Median words per slide at most 50: full points; at most 75: half; above: none.

    4 points

  • Text density

Share of slides over 100 words: at most 10% full points, at most 25% half, above none.

    3 points

  • Required sections

Problem, solution, market, business model, traction, team and ask, each found by keyword in English or Turkish: points in proportion to the sections found.

    4 points

  • Market figures with a source

Every slide that sizes a market (a market word next to a money amount or a percentage) also names a source or links one: points in proportion to the sourced slides, full points when no slide sizes a market.

    3 points

  • Contact details

An e-mail address, website or phone number anywhere in the deck.

How we score

Three independent controllers read your deck, and none of them can quote a slide that is not there.

  • Visual judge

A multimodal model looks at the PDF pages as a founder or investor would, and scores the eight dimensions against the anchors.

  • Text judge

A second model reads only the extracted text and scores the story dimensions. If the two judges differ by more than 2 points on a dimension, that dimension is marked low confidence and the range widens.

  • Deterministic checks

Plain code counts pages and words per slide, looks for the required sections and checks that market figures name a source. No model, same answer every time.

  • Median of 3 runs

Every dimension is scored three times and the median counts, so one odd run cannot move your score.

  • Evidence quotes

Each score cites a quote and a slide number. We check the quote against that slide's text, and a score without evidence is flagged.

What the benchmarks say

Two outside sources shaped the rubric. We cite them as published and do not add numbers of our own.

DocSend, 2020 (pre-seed decks)

  • Investors reviewed a deck for under 3 minutes on average.
  • Funded decks held attention for about 4 minutes, against about 1:30 for unfunded decks.
  • A typical deck ran to about 20 pages.
  • A typical slide held about 50 words.

Y Combinator, 2018

  • The story the deck tells has to be clear.
  • Investors look hard at the founders.
  • Evidence of demand counts for more than a forecast.
  • Show where the company will be a year from now.

Frequently asked questions

Is the scorer really free?

Yes. You need no account for the score, the eight dimensions, the checklist and the top three fixes. The slide-by-slide report and rewrite suggestions need a free account.

How accurate is the score?

We calibrate the scorer against a set of real and deliberately damaged decks with reference scores, and block changes that fall below a rank correlation of 0.7. It is a structured second opinion, not a prediction of whether an investor will fund you.

Why does it ask for my stage?

Investors weigh different things at different stages: team and problem for pre-seed, traction and business model for seed and Series A. The stage only changes the weights, never the anchors.

What are the limits?

PDF only, up to 20 MB and 40 pages, and 3 free scores per day from one connection. Decks in Turkish and English both work.

What happens to my deck?

An anonymous PDF is stored for 30 days so you can open your result with the code, then deleted. It is used only to score your deck.
