The TÜBİTAK BiGG guide: Individual Young Entrepreneur and BiGG Yatırım calls
Last verified: 2 October 2026
TÜBİTAK BiGG is the Turkish government program that has supported technology and innovation-driven founders since 2012. This guide summarizes the program's current structure, who can apply and the BiGG Yatırım call's latest dates, based only on TÜBİTAK's own pages.
Who can apply
You can apply to BiGG if you are enrolled in, or a graduate of, any associate, bachelor's, master's or PhD program. TÜBİTAK does not state a separate age limit or a cap on years since graduation for this call.
You cannot apply if you have already received support from the Ministry of Industry and Technology's Techno-Entrepreneurship Capital Support, or from Stage 2 of TÜBİTAK's 1512 or 1812 programs, or if on the date you are accepted into the accelerator you hold a stake in any capital company or sole proprietorship. Shares in public companies and shares acquired through crowdfunding are excluded from this rule.
You do not apply to TÜBİTAK directly. Applications go through one of the Implementing Organizations (Uygulayıcı Kuruluş: technology transfer offices, technoparks, TEKMERs, accelerators) that TÜBİTAK selected for the 2026-2028 period; you first need to join one of their accelerator programs.
What you get
In Stage 1 (the accelerator stage), the Implementing Organization gives you training, mentorship and incubation to turn your idea into a business plan. This stage's support flows from TÜBİTAK to the organization, not as direct cash to the founder.
If you pass Stage 2 (pre-seed investment) and earn the Seal of Excellence, your newly incorporated company receives a 1,350,000 TRY investment from the TÜBİTAK BiGG Fund for 3% equity; you can also request a follow-on investment of up to the same amount during monitoring. The Board can set this percentage lower.
Under the Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP), run with the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the top 3 scoring clean-tech ventures can receive a combined 2,250,000 TRY for 5% equity.
In Stage 3 (post-investment monitoring), support runs for 36 months starting the month after the investment is completed.
Stages and calendar
The BiGG Yatırım Program's (1812) 2026-2 call was announced on 11 September 2026. Accelerator activities (Stage 1) run continuously from 2 March 2026 to 31 July 2028, so you can join an Implementing Organization's accelerator at any point in that window.
The window to submit Stage 2 (pre-seed investment) applications to TÜBİTAK was 31 August to 30 September 2026, and it was already closed as of this guide's writing date. Evaluations run 12 October to 20 November 2026, results are announced 24 to 27 November 2026, the deadline to incorporate the company and sign the contract is 31 December 2026, and support starts 1 January 2027.
As of this guide's writing date, TÜBİTAK's website has not announced a BiGG Yatırım call after 2026-2, such as a 2026-3 or 2027-1 cycle. For the next cycle TÜBİTAK points to its own '2026-2028 Pre-seed Investment Plan' document; getfund Radar alerts you the moment a new call opens.
What the application asks
Every application goes through PRODİS, TÜBİTAK's project evaluation and monitoring system, electronically; paper applications are not accepted.
In Stage 1 you submit your idea to the Implementing Organization you chose; the organization evaluates it, admits you to its accelerator and works with you to mature it into a business plan.
In Stage 2, the business plan from your completed accelerator program is submitted to TÜBİTAK by the Implementing Organization and goes through a panel review, with input from the TÜBİTAK BiGG Fund.
