FinTech Innovation Lab New York 2026

The FinTech Innovation Lab New York is accepting applications for its 2027 class. Early- and growth-stage enterprise fintech and insurtech founders can apply before the November 25 deadline.

What is the FinTech Innovation Lab New York?

FinTech Innovation Lab New York is an accelerator program for early- and growth-stage fintech and insurtech companies that build enterprise technology for financial services. Co-founded by Accenture and the Partnership Fund for New York City, the 12-week program pairs founders directly with senior leaders from top financial institutions and venture capital firms who buy, deploy, and scale enterprise software.

Over the last 17 years, the program has played a central role in making New York City a global center for financial technology innovation. Alumni from previous classes have achieved significant commercial milestones, raising more than $4 billion in venture funding and completing 35 corporate acquisitions.

The accelerator offers structured engagement with industry decision-makers across banking, capital markets, payments, and insurance. Startups work with mentors across one-on-one sessions, panel presentations, technical user groups, and executive networking events. You can review detailed program attributes on the getfund opportunity profile.

Selected founders gain unmatched visibility into how large corporate buyers evaluate, procure, and integrate complex software systems. This direct access shortens enterprise sales cycles and helps technical teams refine their architectures to satisfy rigorous institutional compliance, risk, and deployment standards.

Who is eligible to apply?

Eligible applicants are early- and growth-stage entrepreneurs developing enterprise technology for financial services, covering areas like banking, payments, insurance, and capital markets. Technology executives from more than 40 financial institutions select companies demonstrating strong institutional relevance, cutting-edge technology, and the capacity to scale securely across enterprise environments.

Senior executives from participating financial institutions have identified 10 major priority focus areas for this class. These areas include AI Governance and Guardrails, which focuses on tools that govern and secure AI agents in production while embedding compliance, oversight, and control mechanisms across enterprise deployments. Another area is Enterprise AI Operating Layer, connecting models, data, and core software to bridge technical infrastructure with business units.

Additional priority areas cover Digital Asset tools spanning blockchain infrastructure, custody, wallet solutions, stablecoin issuance, tokenized deposits, and cross-border settlement rails. Financial institutions are also targeting Token and Cost Optimization tools that help organizations optimize the cost and efficiency of AI at scale while demonstrating clear return on investment. Agentic Commerce tools enable autonomous agents to transact and deliver services across partner networks.

The remaining priority domains encompass Cyber and Data Security, Risk Management and Fraud Detection, Context and Knowledge Capture, Client Engagement and Personalization, and AI-Augmented Software Delivery. However, founders building cutting-edge enterprise solutions outside these exact categories are explicitly encouraged to apply if their technology addresses financial services challenges.

What does the program offer founders?

Selected companies receive 12 weeks of direct mentorship and business development with senior executives from top financial institutions and venture capital firms. The program begins in March 2027 and culminates in June 2027 with an industry Demo Day, giving founders an elite platform to present to venture capitalists and financial corporate buyers.

The core curriculum focuses on enterprise validation, sales acceleration, and product enhancement. Founders participate in regular one-on-one sessions with institutional sponsors who share operational feedback on system integration, procurement requirements, data governance, and commercial pricing models.

New this year, the Lab has introduced a specialized Pilot Track for growth-stage companies working in AI Guardrails and Governance. Companies selected for this track join the broader mentorship cohort while collaborating with Accenture’s Innovation Garage to design and execute proofs of concept with participating financial institutions.

These structured proofs of concept take place in real financial institution environments to test how solutions address high-value business needs. The findings and technical outcomes from these engagements are then shared across the Lab's entire mentor network, creating immediate exposure to potential enterprise customers.

Key dates and program timeline

Applications for the 2027 class opened on October 5, 2026, and the submission deadline is November 25, 2026. Because cohort space is limited, founders should complete their submissions early rather than waiting until the final cutoff date.

To help founders understand the selection process, program leadership scheduled an in-person information session on November 3rd and a virtual session on November 12th. These sessions give applicants a direct channel to ask questions about tracks, institutional priorities, and mentor expectations.

Following the competitive selection process led by senior technology executives from more than 40 participating institutions, the cohort officially kicks off in March 2027. The 12-week program runs throughout the spring and concludes in June 2027 with Demo Day.

Founders should plan their leadership availability carefully to maximize attendance across all one-on-one mentor meetings, technical user groups, and executive networking sessions scheduled during the three-month period.
